7/188 Vine Cottage and stone slab

Former cottage row, now house, with attached fence surrounding small garden at
south-east end. Centre part of house range is late C18, with early C19 extension
to right and mid C19 extension to left. C18 part is of squared and coursed
limestone with stone slate roof and rebuilt brick chimney to right. 2 storeys
and attic, 3 bays. Wooden casements with single horizontal glazing bars, all
renewed C20, with flat arches of dressed stone and flush keyblocks. Most windows
are of 2 lights but ground floor of right bay has 3-light window. Blocked
doorway to right of centre, with matching casement. Attic has very small
catslide roof dormer to right. Between left bays is a C20 board door, also with
flat stone arch, and with a flat stone slab hood on wooden brackets. Early C19
extension to right, of 2 builds, is of coursed limestone rubble and shares same
stone slate roof, 2 storeys and attic, 2 bays. Left bay has C20 wooden
casements; right bay is blind to front but hass similar casements, single leaded
attic light and C20 door in gable end. Mid C19 extension to left has Welsh slate
roof and 2 bays of wooden casements with brick arches. C20 garage extension at
left end is not of special architectural interest. Fence attached to right end
is early C19, of upright rectangular limestone slabs.
