House. C18 with C19 extensions to rear. Coursed rubble limestone with raised
ashlar quoins and window surrounds. Stone slate roof, coped gables with moulded
kneelers, ashlar chimneys with chamfered strings and moulded cornices. 2 storeys
and attic, 5 bays. 3-pane sash windows in beaded ashlar surrounds with
keyblocks. Segmental relieving arches over lower windows. 3 gabled roof dormers
with 2-light wooden casements. Central door in gabled porch. Chimneys are placed
along ridge at gable ends and to right of centre, Rear has hipped stair
projection, later lean-to extensions and C19 wing. Said to have been a coaching
inn early C19 and was then used as the vicarage later in the century.
