12/47 Pytts House
12/09/55 (Formerly listed as Pitt's
Farmstead and Barn)

Farmhouse now house. Probably mid C16, with later alterations. Coursed stone
rubble; stone slate roof; stone end stack to left, ridge stack to right of
centre. Probably hall-house originally with through-passage. 2-storey, 5-bay
range. Ribbed door to right with 4-centred arched stone surround with cut
spandrels. Irregular fenestration of casements, most with wood lintels. Rear:
C17 wood mullion and transom windows to first floor. Interior: C19
straight-flight staircase from ground to first floors. Trench-purlin roof. Stone
4-centre arched fireplaces to some rooms. Cobble-stone floor to through passage
to right.
