17/143 Barn approx 10 metres
to south of School House

Barn. Late C17 or early C18. Rubblestone, thatch roof. 3 bays. Quoins. Quoined
jambs to central cart entry with replacement beard double door (not full height).
Rear: central opening with C20 glazing; inserted opening on left. Left return:
triangular vents and bird-hole (blocleed); some putlog holes; roofline of former
attached outbuilding. Right return: corrugated iron lean-to (not of special
interest); triangular bird-hole to gable. Interior: collared tie-beam trusses;
2 tiers of through purlins; old rafters.
