House. Mid-C17, extended late C19 and late C20. Rendered limestone rubble with
quoins; stone slate roof. 2 storeys and attic on chamfered plinth. Chamfered
mullion windows with dripstones to left and right of C20 gabled stone porch with
stable door, those to first floor of 5 lights, those to ground floor of 4.
Integral end stack with moulded dripstone arid paired and rebated shafts to right
and integral end stack with red brick shaft to left. 2-storey lean-to to rear.
Interior: ground floor (formerly 2 or 3 rooms now one) has chamfered spine beans
cut by C20 staircase. Mullion windows to original back wall. More chamfered
ceiling beams to first-floor rooms and oak winder staircase from first floor to
attic. This has double-purlin collar and tie beam roof in 3 bays. 2-light wooden
mullion window to left wall of lean-to on first floor. Late C19 two-storey
addition (former shop) set back to right and prominent late C20 extension to
left are not of special architectural interest.
