Farmhouse. Early C18 with later additions and alterations. Uncoursed limestone
rubble; stone slate roofs with coped parapet and verges to front of main range.
Basic L-plan with later ranges in angle to rear. 2 storeys and attic. 3-window
front with prominent gabled full dormers to left and right; late C19/early C20
casements in C18 openings with grooved lintels and projecting keystones; reduced
proportions to right gable, blind and painted in imitation to left gable.
Central entrance; half-glazed door with similar lintel to windows. External end
stack to right with paired and rebated ashlar shafts, moulded dripstone and
capping. 2 similar ridge stacks to rear gabled range, forming continuation of
left gable. Lower range attached to right with granary to upper level approached
by external lateral steps to rear has infilled doorway to right and casement to
left in position of infilled doorway. Short gabled ranges in angle to rear one
with C19 lean-to attached. Interior. Not inspected at time of resurvey (May
1987) but stone-flagged central entrance hall noted as having staircase with
stick balusters.
