Cottage. Probably early C17 with minot later additions and alterations. Roughly
coursed limestone and marlstone rubble; straw thatch roof. 3-unit baffle-entry
plan, probably formerly although not originally divided. One storey and attic.
Three C19 casements with wood lintels to ground floor one to left of boarded door
to left of centre and one to either side of boarded door to right of centre.
3 raking eaves dormers, also with C19 casements. Windows a mixture of leaded,
cast-iron and plain wood casements. Integral end stacks (left ashlar) and ridge
stack to left of centre, all with moulded capping. Low gabled outbuilding with
red pantile roof attached to right gable end and roof pitch of a former outbuild-
ing visible to left gable end. Three C19 casements and eyebrow eaves formers
to rear. Interior: Only partial inspection possible at time of resurvey (August
1987) but noted as having chamfered cross beams to ground floor rooms.
