Cottage

Pair of cottages. Probably late C17 with later additions and alterations.
Roughly coursed limestone rubble; straw thatch roof. One storey and attic. Left
cottage (Yarrow) has late C19/early C20 casements with wood lintels, 2 to left
and one to right of half-glazed door and similar windows to eyebrow eaves
dormers in corresponding positions directly above. Right cottage (The Thatched
Cottage) has late C20 casements with wood lintels on each floor to left and
right of central boarded door. Partially rebuilt integral stone end stacks, red
brick ridge stack to left of left cottage and another at junction between
cottages with straight joint below. The left cottage is probably the earlier.
