GV II

Farmhouse, now divided into 2 houses. Probably early C18 with later additions and
alterations. Roughly coursed limestone rubble; stone slate roof with concrete tiles
to rear. 3-unit baffle-entry plan. C19 casements with wood lintels (those to first
floor directly below eaves), 2 to left and one to right of C20 half-glazed door to
right of centre under gabled stone porch. Small gabled dormer in roof slope to right.
Integral end entrance, all with dripstones, ridge stack with yellow brick shaft and
end stacks with C20 brown brick shafts. Gabled staircase projection to rear. Interior:
No 1 (left part) only inspected. Chamfered ceiling beams to ground and first-floor
rooms and inglenook fireplace with chamfered wood lintel to right ground-floor room.
Wide oak winder staircase from ground floor to attic inprojection. Common rafter roof
with collars and central tie beam. Range at right-angles to rear on right of No 2 is
not of special architectural interest.
