Farmhouse. Early- to wid-C18, partially remodelled mid-C19 with later additions
and alterations. Roughly coursed limestone rubble; asbestos tile roof with coped
verges. 3-unit baffle-entry plan with C19 additions to rear (farmyard side). 2
storeys and gable-lit attic. 5 early C19 leaded casements directly below eaves.
Prominent canted bay windows (c.1840) with glazing bar sashes and fretted
overhangs to either side of contemporary segmental-headed half-glazed door with
margin lights to left. Infilled doorway to right of centre and 3-light C20
casement with wood lintel to right. Integral ashlar end stacks and ridge stack
immediately to right of infilled doorway, left integral and ridge stack with
moulded dripstones and capping, right rebuilt in C20 brick above dripstone.
Former 2-light mullion window (mullion removed and leaded casement inserted)
with dripstone on first floor to right gable end. Rear has doorway directly
opposing present front entrance and C19 gabled range with lean-tos on either
side projecting to left; C19 and C20 leaded casements. Interior. Room to right
of entrance has encased cross beam and C19 pine wainscut panelling. Right
ground-floor room (kitchen) has oak winder staircase rising to attic to right of
fireplace.
