17/141 Brooks and Fowler memorials
approx. 12m E of chancel of
Church of St. Andrew


Pair of chest tombs. Circa 1807 and early C19. Limestone. Rectangular with
moulded plinths and capping; square corner balusters and plain moulded
inscription panels. Brooks memorial has inscription on south to William Brooks
(d.1807) and one on north to George and Mary Brooks (d.1818 and 1816
respectively). Fowler memorial has illegible inscription to north and one to
Henry Fowler (d.18501 on south.
