Farmhouse. now house. Probably early-to mid C18 with some remodelling of c.1790
(reputed datestone) and mid-to late C19; later additions and alterations.
Roughly coursed limestone rubble with alternating angle quoins; stone slate roof
with coped verges. 2 storeys and attic. 3-window front; 4-paned horned sashes in
plain stone surrounds with projecting keystones to lintels to first floor and
lower left and right. Prominent canted bay window with horned 4-paned sashes to
centre. Entrance between left window and bay window; 4-panel door (top panels
with leaded glazing) and rectangular overlight with lintel like those to
windows. Late C19 timber framed and roughcast gabled dormers in roof slope to
left and right. Integral ashlar end stacks and ridge stack immediately to right
of entrance (not baffle-entry) all with moulded dripstones and capping.
Chamfered 2-light mullion window to right gable end on ground floor. Rear has
gabled staircase projection to left lit by 2-light chamfered mullion window on
each floor. 3-light chamfered mullion window on each floor to right. Interior.
oak winder staircase from ground floor to attic in gabled projection.
