Stable block. 1725 on clock tower. Possibly by James Gibbs .
Coursed squared limestone rubble; stone slate roof. Central
carriageway through 2-storey block with clock tower on hipped roof
breaks forward from long single-storey range flanked by
projecting pedimented two-storey wings. Basket arch with keyblock
on plain imposts, flanked by symmetrical ground floor fenestration
with glazing bars, 1:2:2:1. Smaller first floor windows above
carriage arch and in projecting wings to right and left. All
windows have plain stone architraves. Plain cill band and string-
course. Carriageway flanked by buttresses to rear beneath boarded
door to hayloft. Small windows ventilate stables to left and
right. Interior not inspected.
