Barn. latterly 2 cottages, now house. Probably C17, with alterations.
Coursed squared limestone rubble; stone slate roof; brick chimneys. Now 2
storeys and attic; 3-window range. C20 plank door to left of centre
flanked by casements with glazing bars. Two to right; 3 to left. 3
similar first floor windows, all except one to right under C19 timber
lintels. Two C20 roof lights. Double doors to projecting court entry to
far left; under carslide roof. Internal brick stack left; brick gable-end
stack to right. Rear has two buttresses flanking another former court
entry, now blocked. Interior: floor and partitions date mostly from C19
conversion with some C20 alterations. Roof structure of barn survives
with heavy principal rafters, collars and purlins. This former
agricultural building probably relates to Prospect Villa (q.v.). Included
for group value.
