Farmhouse converted to public house, now dwelling. Late C17 with later
alterations. Coursed squared rubble; tile roof to front; stone slates
to rear. 2 storeys and attic; 3-window range, symmetrical. Half-glazed
door with wooden lintel is flanked by C20 casements with concrete lintels.
First floor sash windows with glazing bars and stone lintels flank a
central casement, also with glazing bars, under a low pitched flush-
fronted gabled dormer with similar casements. 2 gable-end chimneys
finished in brick. Single-storey C20 extensions to left. Rear gabled
stair tower. Interior of left ground floor room has chamfered ceiling
beams and inglenook fireplace with chamfered bressumer. Formerly The
Marlborough Arms Public House.
