Building occupied by
News & Things
House, now shop. Mid C19 facade, probably incorporating an earlier
building. Coursed squared rubble; timber lintels; slate roof. 3
storeys; 3-window range. Glazed door to right of centre has simple fluted
doorcase with corner roundels and small hood on consoles flanked by shop
windows. First and second-floor windows have large-paned sashes with
horns. Iron tie. Texture of stonework indicates that an earlier 2-
storey, 2-window range was extended to right and heightened probably
c.1900. Low pitched roof; 2 gable-end chimneys. Interior not inspected.
