Circa 1600. A modest pair of cottages. No 2 is timber framed with painted
brick; 2 storeys; simple casements; ledged door with simple weather-hood;
old tiles; stone foundations. No 3 tied with the above, is roughcast;
1 three-light casement window; simple doorway with steps up. Smithy,
on right hand side and tied with No 3, is of coursed rubble of 2 storeys
with 2 simple casement windows and having an open cart bay on left with
elliptical- arched head. The whole forms a picturesque range.
