No. 84 (The Red House)

House, now community centre. Late C18 with late C20 additions and
alterations. Red brick on sandstone plinth with plain tiled hipped roof.
3 storeys; 3 bay entrance front with central doorway; glazing bar sash
windows with gauged heads, reduced proportions to top floor; 6 panelled
door with rectangular fanlight; Tuscan portico, detached columns and
pilasters, triangular pediment on fragmentary entablature. Brick
modillion eaves cornice. 2 central C20 brown brick chimney stacks.
Late C20 extension to right and to rear.
