- Little Whiston Farmhouse

House. C.1830-40. Stucco rendered, low pitched hipped slate roof,
wide spreading eaves supported by moulded cornice, red brick stack
behind ridge. Villa type in the style of Soane's lodge at Pell Wall,
Staffordshire (1822-28), though much reduced in scale, L-shaped plan.
2 storeys; 3 bay garden front, chamfered at ends and deeply recessed
in centre, glazing bar sashes with sills; central entrance through late
C20 doorway. Contemporary painted brick wing at right angles to rear.
