SJ 7507 SHIFNAL C.P. COPPICE GREEN.

6/6 Coppice Green House.

House. Late C16 with large late C18 addition. Timber framed with square
framing and rendered infill panels; large red brick addition with stone
dressings, painted to rear; old tile roofs. L-plan with one framed bay to
left at rear. 3 storeys, one storey to left, and 2 storeys to rear. Front:
plinth, floor cill band, fluted second floor cill band, stone dentil eaves
cornice, parapeted gable ends, and end stacks. 3 bays; C20 metal casements
in C18 openings with gauged heads. Central door with 6 raised and fielded
panels, and doorcase consisting of panelled pilasters, panel above door,
and curved brackets supporting triangular pediment with dentil cornice.
One storey block set back to left of red brick with old tile roof, parapeted
gable end, end stack, and tripartite glazing bar sash to front with
segmental relieving arch and recessed painted tympanum. Queen post truss
exposed in timber framed wing to rear. Interior: heavily secured front
door with iron bands.
