Late C18 refronting to C17 building, which incorporates part of a late C16
timber-framed structure, revealed at rear. Red brick; 3 storeys; 4 sash windows
in lined reveals with moulded keyblocks and segmental heads; moulded plaster
eaves; tiles. Modern shop front. Part of rear wall is timber-framed, as is
a rear projecting wing which is of 2 storeys and has a blocked 3-light stone
mullioned window on north side of upper storey. The infilling is of red brick
and there is a fully-framed gabled end at rear. The interior of the building
is much altered but retains some exposed ceiling beams and a large bricked-up
ingle fireplace at rear of ground storey.
