House, latterly school, now shop. Late C18 with later additions and
alterations. Red brick, hipped slate roof with re-built ridge stacks
to left and right. 3 storeys, moulded stone eaves cornice; 5-window
front, glazing bar sashes with gauged heads and Venetian window to
first-floor centre; central entrance approached by semi-circular flight
of 4 steps, open-pedimented doorcase with fluted pilasters, panelled
reveals and fanlight, deeply recessed half-glazed door; late C19 shop
fronts to left and right. The building formerly housed Oswestry High
School.
