House, now school. Late C18 with later additions and alterations. Red brick on rendered stone plinth, graded slate roof partly concealed by eaves parapet, two brick ridge stacks to centre and internal end stacks to left and right. Three storeys over basement, moulded stone eaves cornice and painted cill and floor bands, latter with fluted decoration; 3:1:3 windows, outer with slightly projecting pediments and two-storey canted bays, glazing bar sashes and plate-glass sashes with gauged heads except to first- and second-floor centre which have segmental- pedimented head and moulded stone surround respectively; central entrance, stone Ionic doorcase with four demi-columns and projecting dentilled pediment supported on two similar columns has panelled door with vertical side lights, approached by flight of six steps. Attached wrought-iron railings on low stone wall have pointed finials and urn-capped standards, replaced by C19 railings to left of steps. Two-storey service ranges at right-angles to rear.
