Cottage. Early C17, extended C18 and late C19. Timber framed with
plaster infill on painted brick plinth, slate roof. Original 2-cell
baffle-entry plan altered in C18 by single-bay addition to left;
late C19 painted brick lean-to and gabled additions to rear. One storey
and attic; framing: square and rectangular panels, 2 from cill to
wall-plate with short straight tension braces; 3-light cast-iron
latticed casements to left and right of ledged door in moulded surround
with prominent gabled eaves dormers (also with latticed lights) directly
above; C18 brick extension has two C20 fixed-light latticed windows to
ground floor; prominent late C19 red brick ridge stack with moulded
capping above door; pointed finials to dormers and right gable end.
Interior: timber frame exposed throughout including to former back
wall and left gable end; chamfered ceiling beams, substantial chimney
breast and late C17 dog-leg staircase with turned balusters; collar
and tie beam roof.
