Inn, now offices. Circa 1830 with later additions and alterations.
Painted brick, slate roof hipped to left with axial red brick stacks
to left and right. 3 x 3 bays. 3 storeys, dentilled eaves cornice;
4-paned sashes with gauged heads, first-floor centre blocked; central
entrance, plain pilastered doorcase with bracketed open pediment,
6-panel door and 3-light rectangular overlight. Formerly known as The
Lion and served by the adjacent disused malthouse (q.v.). Included
for group value.
