Farmhouse, now house. C17, re-modelled late C18 with later additions
and alterations. Timber frame now largely replaced by painted uncoursed
limestone rubble, slate roof. Hall range of 2½ unequal framed bays with
flush 2-bay cross-wing to right; late C18 range at right-angles to
rear of hall range. One storey and attic; late C19 and C20 casements,
one to right of boarded door under late C19 gabled hood to left of
hall range and one on each floor to cross-wing, late C19 gabled eaves
dormer to centre of hall range; prominent late C19 internal red brick
end stack to left of hall range and similar stack to rear gable of cross-
wing. Interior: main ground-floor room of hall range (kitchen) has
chamfered spine beam and heavy joists and inglenook fireplace with
moulded wooden overmantel; square panelling to wall between hall range
and cross-wing on ground floor; double-purlin roofs of Queen-strut
construction with some trusses exposed at time of re-survey (July 1985).
C19 outbuilding attached to left is not of special architectural
interest.
