Barn. Mid-Cl9 incorporating C14 or C15 cruck truss. Rendered red brick and
rubblestone; corrugated iron roof. 2 levels; 4 eaves hatches, 2 to left and
2 to right. 3 segmental-headed doorways to right and narrow rectangular air
vents to left. C20 entrance to left gable end. Interior: 3 left bays
open to roof with C19 king-post truss between first and second bays. Crudely
chamfered arch-braced true cruck truss between second and third bays has yoke
and Alcock apex-type B. The cruck truss shows no signs of smoke blackening
and is likely always to have been part of an agricultural building. In-
cluded for group value. Alcock (1981) pp.96, 144.
