House. Mid-C18 considerably extended mid-C19 with later additions and
alterations. Red brick; slate roofs. 3 storeys with 2 storeys to flanking
wings. Main block of 1:1;1 bays, centre forming slightly projecting gabled
break, with recessed one-bay links to 2-bay gabled wings. Glazing bar
sashes, 15-paned to outer bays of main block on first floor, and replaced
by late C19 canted bay windows to ground floor with contemporary French
window to centre. Main range has integral end stacks with dentilled capping
and small stack to centre gable; external stacks, also with dentilled capping,
to front gables of flanking wings with similar stack to rear of right wing.
Plat-roofed 2-bay porch with round-headed arches and half-glazed doors
in angle between main range and right wing. Interior. Inspection not
possible at time of resurvey (June 1986) but likely to be of interest.
