Cottage. C17 with later additions and alterations. Roughcast timber
frame; slate roof with integral end stack to right (top rebuilt in C20 red
brick). 2-cell plan. One storey and gable-lit attic. C19 casements
to left and right of mid-C20 glazed door; small top-hung C20 casement to
far left. Roughcast brick lean-to to rear on right. Interior. Timber
framed partition wall (light panels) across left room. Chamfered spine
beam and joists to right room. Large stack has inglenook fireplace with
chamfered wooden lintel. Oak winder staircase to left of stack with plain
C18 balusters to rail on first floor. Single-purlin roof with exposed
central collar and tie beam truss.
