House, now inn. Late C18, extended mid-C19 with later additions and alterations.
Red brick; slate roof. 2 storeys with dentilled eaves cornice; original 4-
bay front extended by one bay to left in mid-C19. Mid-C20 casements with C18
segmental heads to original part and C20 casements, that to ground floor with
wide C20 segmental head, to addition. Entrance in third bay from left to C18
part; C20 boarded door under late C19 bracketed gabled hood. External end
stack in front of ridge to right and ridge stack (formerly to gable end) at
junction with C19 addition. C18 wide gabled range at right-angles to rear
on left and mid-C19 two-storey addition at right-angles to rear on right.
Interior. Right ground-floor room has chamfered cross beam and heavy joists.
Late C20 additions set back to left and attached to rear are not of special
architectural interest.
