Shown on O.S. map as Kynaston.
Farmhouse, now house. Dated 1798 with minor later additions and alterations.
Red brick on chamfered sandstone plinth; slate roof with external end stacks.
L-plan with lower range to rear on left. 3 storeys with toothed eaves cornice.
3 bays with centre bay forming slightly projecting pedimented break. Glazing
bar sashes with projecting keystones to painted stone wedge lintels. Central
entrance; plain pilastered doorcase with bracketed open pediment, flush 6-
panel door, panelled reveals and semi-circular fanlight. Datestone "T/WS/
1798" to top of right stack. Interior. Dog-leg staircase in central hall
rising to second floor has ramped wreathed handrail and stick balusters to
carved open string. Plain spine beams and joists to front ground-floor rooms;
moulded plaster cornices to first-floor rooms. Panelled doors throughout
and cellar to right.
