Farmhouse, now house. Late C17 with later additions and alterations.
Timber framed with painted brick infill; sandstone blocks to left gable
end, which has coped verges; graded slate roof. House apparently of
2 framed bays with C19 former cowhouse (formerly longer) attached to
right; lower late C19 or early C20 red brick outbuilding attached to
left. Framing: square and rectangular panels, 2 and 3 from cill to
wall-plate to house; C19 red brick to cowhouse. Right gable end of
house visible in cowhouse: square panels and collar and tie beam truss
with V-struts from collar. C19 casement immediately to left of boarded
door under bracketed gabled hood to left of centre; gabled eaves dormer
with C19 casement and slate-hung sides directly above door. Boarded
door to right has C19 casement immediately to right. Cowhouse has
boarded door to left and C19 metal window to right. Integral brown
brick end stack to left with top rebuilt in C20 red brick and red brick
stack in bottom of roof slope to right. Interior. Inspection not
possible at time of resurvey (October 1986) but likely to be of interest.
