Disused cottage at N.G.R. SJ 3335 2150

Cottage, now disused. Late C18 with minor later alterations. Regularly coursed and dressed red sandstone blocks; graded slate roof. Two cell plan. Two storeys. Small C19 casements, those to first floor directly below eaves, to left and right of central boarded door. Doorway and ground-floor windows have original slightly projecting keystones. Integral end stack to left with red brick shaft and another to front right corner.

Interior. Inspection not possible at time of resurvey (October 1986) but noted as having plain cross beam and joists to left ground-floor room and plain spine beam and joists to right ground-floor room. Left room has large open fireplace with winder staircase behind; corner fireplace to right room.
