Farmhouse. Early to mid-C17, remodelled and extended in mid-C19. C17 part
timber-framed with plastered infill, partially roughcast; also random limestone
rubble, slate roofs with red brick ridge stack to main range. Three-unit baffle
entry type extended and converted. South side. 1½ storeys; three framed bays
(under stone cladding); square panelling (3 up to eaves), slightly cambered
tie beam and long straight tension braces visible in right gable end; C19
casement with brick cambered head to left of C19 gabled entrance porch, wide
rectangular C19 casement to right; subsidiary C20 entrance to far right, three
gabled eaves dormers; left hand gable end has mid-C19 canted bay window on
ground floor. Two storeyed set-back mid-C19 addition with brick end stack
and outshut behind, to rear. Interior retains its timber frame substantially
intact.
