Cottage. Late C16 or early C17 with later additions and alterations. Half-
timbered with plastered infilling, slate roof, prominent central brick stack
with 3 attached shafts and ornamental stone capping. Lobby entry plan.
2 storeys and garret; probably of 4 structural bays, 4 square panels to eaves,
short tension braces; 3 small casements to first floor, those to left and
right with C20 diamond panes; 2 windows to ground, tripartite sash window
with horns to left, 3-light C19 wooden mullioned and transomed casement to
right; central gabled porch with bargeboards, largely reconstructed but has
inscription MICoMIWo1682 over arch, 8-panelled C19 door. The right hand
gable end is stone clad but the left hand gable end retains jettying to the
attic floor.
