SO 3288 BISHOP'S CASTLE C.P. CHURCH STREET (east side)

12/32 Nos. 12 and 14
-

GV II

Pair of cottages. Late C17, remodelled in mid- to late C20. Rendered,
probably on to timber frame, with C20 brick plinth, and slate roof.
Probably 3 framed bays. 2 storeys. Plinth, and brick ridge stack off-
centre to right. C20 casements, 3 on first floor and 4 on ground
floor; 2 boarded doors with bracketed gabled hoods, one to left and
one between second and third windows. Repaired rendering suggests that
the right-hand door has been moved slightly to the right. Interior:
substantial remains of timber frame, including square-panelled partition
wall. Included for group value.
