approximately 40 metres to
north-east of Lower Down
Farmhouse

GV II

Barn, now barn and cow shed. Late C17 and C19. Weatherboarded timber
frame with coursed limestone rubble plinth and slate roof. Framing:
square panels; transverse partition walls with tension braces. 8
framed bays. 2 storeys. North side: 6 boarded left doors, 4 ground
floor boarded doors; loft door in right-hand gable end. Interior:
partial inserted C19 floor; double purlin roof, queen post and queen
strut trusses.
