GV II

Farmhouse. Mid C19 and circa 1900. Coursed limestone rubble, red brick
dressings, partly rendered, and plain tile roof with partial catslide over
outshut to rear. Irregular plan. 1½ storeys and basement and 2 storeys.
Lower C19 block to left with lateral stack to left; circa 1900 block to
right with stack to rear and external end stack to right. 4 window front;
slightly projecting gabled wing off-centre to left with 2-storey bay projecting
in front of mid C19 left-hand wing. C19 wooden mullioned and transomed windows.
6-panelled door in recessed porch between first and second windows from left.
Included because it incorporates part of Lea Castle (q.v.).
