Farmbuildings approximately 40 metres to South-west of Shadwell Hall

Cowhouse, stables, cartshed and granary. Probably circa 1812.
Coursed and squared limestone and coursed rubble, partly rebuilt in
C20 concrete block; limestone roof, partly replaced with corrugated
asbestos. Irregular L-plan, site falling from North-west to South-
east. Stables: One storey and loft. Large gable to left. Two
boarded loft doors, that to right with tallet steps, five ground-floor
doors; two to right with segmental heads, one to left blocked; through
passageway second from left. Cartshed, granary and cowhouse to
North: cartshed to left, four bays with cast-iron columns and
weatherboarded loft; cowhouse to right with three boarded doors. Cowhouse to
North-east (one of a pair flanking farmyard entrance). One storey.
three boarded 2-leaf doors alternating with slatted wooden windows.
Included as an example of an early C19 model farm. Possibly ascribable
to John Carline (1761-1835) of Shrewsbury. Shadwell.Hail (q.v.).
