to North-east of Upper
Spoad Farmhouse

Barn. Late C17. Weatherboarded timber frame on high coursed
limestone rubble plinth accommodating cowhouse to South-east; corrugated
iron roof. 4 framed bays; aligned North-west/South-east, site falling
to South-east. Framing: square panels, 3 up to wall plate. South-
west front: stone steps up to boarded door to left, 2 pitching openings
to right and one in right-hand gable-end; 2 boarded byre doors in high
plinth to right and window to left. Interior: 2 pairs of purlins,
tie-beam trusses with raking queen struts; bay divisions with long
tension braces. Upper Spoad Farmhouse not included on this list.
