Barn and Cowhouse approximately 15 metres to North of South-westerly
Chapel Lawn Farmhouse

Barn and cowhouse. Late C18 or early C19. Weatherboarded timber
frame with coursed limestone rubble plinth, ground floor to left,
dividing walls and end walls; slate roof, with catslide over lean-to
at rear. Long range with 3 framed bay barn to North; aligned
North-south. East front: Cowhouse to left with 4 boarded loft
doors and 4 ground floor boarded doors alternating with slatted
windows; later rubble lean-to at left. Barn to right with small
boarded loft door to left and pair of large central boarded cart
doors; gable-end to right with 3 tiers of vents and segmental-
headed boarded loft door. Together with the other farm buildings
(q.v.) and farmhouse (q.v.) this range forms an important group in
the centre of the village.
