15/111 Luther Memorial
- approximately 27 metres
to North of North Aisle
of Church of St George

GV II

Pedestal tomb. Early to mid-C19. Sandstone ashlar. Moulded plinth,
sunken panels, entablature with Gothick frieze of ogee-headed panels,
moulded cornice, and concave capping to moulded urn-finial. To Mary
Ann, Alice Martha, and Elizabeth, daughters of Thomas (died 1848) and
Mary Ann (died 1849) Luther. A late example of a classic C18 design
with Gothick detail.
