Walkmill Cottages

Pair of cottages, now one. Circa 1700 with mid-to-late C19 and C20
additions. Coursed limestone rubble (with evidence of former limewashing),
painted to left; slate roofs. L-plan. One storey and attic. External
stone end-stack to left, projecting C19 gabled cross wing to right with
external stone end-stack at rear and central stone ridge stack. Two
first-floor C20 semi-dormers with 2-light casements, ground floor 3-light
casement to left and half-glazed door to right; queen-post truss exposed
in left-hand gable-end. Cross wing to right with 2-light casement in
gable-end and two C20 ground floor casements; left-hand return front
with 2-light C20 attic casement beneath eaves; ground floor 2-light
casement and C20 glazed door to left. INTERIOR: queen-post roof trusses.
