Farmhouse. Cl7 or earlier with mid-to-late C19 alterations and additions.
Timber framed, refaced or rebuilt in rendered limestone rubble; slate
and corrugated iron roof. Probably former 2 framed-bay baffle-entry
house aligned East-West, with agricultural building to left and projecting
gabled cross wing to right. 2 storeys with 2 storey and attic cross-wing.
Large central stone ridge stack with weathering at base; 2-window front;
C20 wooden casements to left and C19 two-light segmental-headed wooden
casements in right-hand cross wing; projecting central former porch with
catslide lean-to roof. Rebuilt former agricultural building to left
with C20 flat-topped eaves-dormer with 3-light casement, ground floor
2-light casement to left and half-glazed door to right. Interior:
timber framed, square-panelled cross walls; pairs of chamfered spine
beams with ogee stops; large open fireplace; Cl7 boarded doors with
strap hinges, one between ground floor rooms, and 2 on first floor with
segmental heads and peculiar toothed dropped 'keystones'.
