Farmhouse, now house. Probably early to mid-C18 with later additions
and alterations. Uncoursed limestone rubble; slate roof. 2 storeys and
gable-lit attic; cellar. Three-window front, segmental-headed flush-
framed multi-paned mid-C19 casements, those to ground floor with leaded
lights. Central entrance, plank door also with segmental arch, late
C19 gabled hood; external end stacks with tops re-built in late C19
red brick. Mid-C19 two-storey lean-to range (probably once forming a
separate cottage) to rear on left. Interior: massive chamfered parallel
ceiling beams with stop-chamfered heavy joists to 2 main ground-floor
rooms. Central staircase with shaped brackets on cut string to first
flight, rises to attic. Several wide-boarded C18 doors with H-hinges;
collar and tie beam roof in 3 bays. Late C20 flat-roofed extension to
right is not of special architectural interest.
