Group of 10 chest tombs. Late C18 and early C19. Limestone, some retaining
traces of paint. Rectangular. Moulded plinths and capping, mainly
with chamfered top ledgers. Some have fluted, enriched or columnar corner
pilasters but mainly plain. Monuments to Frances Williams (died 1838)
and Elizabeth Hughes (died 1817) have inward-tapering sides, former
with fluted corner spandrels. Moulded inscription panels on remaining
tombs commemorate various members of other local families.
