Cottage, extended and converted to agricultural use, now stores. C17
extended late C18 with later additions and alterations. Timber framed
with painted brick infill, graded slate roof. Originally a 2-cell cottage
with later external stone stack (now encapsulated in rubblestone addition
to left) extended by further bay to right in C18 and eaves slightly
raised. One storey. Framing: large square panels to C17 part, light
rectangular panels to C18 addition with right gable end rebuilt in late
C19 red brick; plank door to centre with small flanking openings. Interior:
timber framed cross walls to C17 part, collar and tie beam roof trusses
with vertical struts; C19 cast-iron cooking range to former external
stack. Forms a picturesque group with School House (q.v.). Included
for group value.
