House, now 2 cottages. C17, eaves raised and re-modelled early C18
with later additions and alterations. Timber framed with plaster and
painted brick infill; slate roof. 2 storeys; apparently 4 framed bays.
Framing: square panels, 3 from cill to original wall-plate with one
above; right gable end has end truss of original roof visible with collar
and tie beam and V-struts from collar. Late C19 fenestration, multi-
paned casements, 3 directly below eaves and 5 to ground-floor, including
3 grouped together to right of centre, all in panels of framing. Boarded
door to left and 4-panel door to right (top panels now glazed) under
C20 gabled timber porch. External rubblestone end stack to left has
later red brick shaft. Twin-gabled addition to rear is also timber
framed with brick infill and king-post trusses exposed to gable ends,
red brick ridge stacks.
