8/70 The Old Post Office
- (Formerly listed as Old Post
21.3.68 Office, Priestweston)

Shown on O.S. map as Red Lion Inn.
House, latterly inn then post office, now reverted to domestic accomodation.
Late C17 with later additions and alterations. Limewashed uncoursed
limestone rubble, graded slate roof. One storey and attic; 3 late
C19 casements to ground floor and gabled half-dormers with metal casements
directly above; 2 boarded doors alternate with ground-floor windows,
right with glazed panel inserted, now behind late C20 brick and glass
porch (not of special architectural interest); external end stack to
left and internal end stack to right, both with red brick shafts and
toothed capping. Short, probably contemporary range at right-angles
to rear on left. Interior: not inspected but likely to be of interest.
