4/82 Wotherton Hall Farmhouse


Farmhouse. 1839 remodelling of late C18 building with later additions
and alterations. Red brick (monk bond) with limestone ashlar facade,
slate roof. L-plan with 2-storey lean-to (c.1839) in angle behind.
2 storeys with central pediment-like gable and first-floor cill band;
3-window front, multi-paned cast-iron casements in chamfered stone
surrounds. Central entrance, projecting round-arched stone doorcase
with crudely carved capitals and moulded entablature, 6-panel door
with plain fanlight. External red brick end stacks have paired octagonal
stone shafts. Datestone "1839" to centre gable.
